Description

The Albino Paradise Fish (Macropodus opercularis “), a striking member of the Osphronemidae family, is a hardy and colorful labyrinth fish native to Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam, and southern China. This variety is distinguished by its vibranr red stripes running along both side of the platinum coloured body, vibrant fins, red eyes and elegant long flowing tail, which intensifies in males during breeding. Blue Stripe Paradise Fish thrive in water temperatures of 22–28°C, a pH range of 6.0–7.5, and soft to moderately hard water. They are omnivorous, accepting high-quality pellets, flakes, frozen foods such as bloodworms and brine shrimp, and occasional live foods. This species is hardy and easy to moderate in care, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced hobbyists. Their temperament is semi-aggressive, with males being territorial, especially during breeding, so careful pairing or tank partitioning is recommended. Adults reach a maximum size of 6–8 cm (2.5–3 inches) and have a lifespan of 3–5 years under proper care. Blue Stripe Paradise Fish are bubble nest builders, with males creating and guarding the nest while tending the eggs and fry. A minimum tank size of 20 gallons is recommended for breeding pairs, with a well-planted setup, floating plants, and gentle filtration to support nesting behavior. Males are larger, more vividly colored, and develop longer fins, while females are smaller with a rounded body. Breeding age is typically 4–6 months. We offer 2 inch, 4–5 month old Albino Blue Stripe Paradise males only, ready for hobbyists and breeders.
